Target-Calcium
Target calcium cation exchange resin of sulfonated crosslinked styrene divinylcopolymer● uniform particle size ensures high resolution and separation efficiency
● degree of crosslinking: 5%, 8% and 10%, compatible with the flow of most water systems (including pure water)
● pH ranges from 5 to 9, including analytical and preparative columns
Target calcium column is specially designed for the efficient separation of sugars and alcohols. The new packing is based on the surface modification of sulfonic acid group (- SO3H) on polystyrene / DIVINYLBENZENE (PS/DVB) particles with low crosslinking degree, on which calcium ion (Ca2 + is further chelated. The narrow particle size distribution ensures high separation efficiency, while the lower crosslinking degree ensures that it can swell in the mobile phase, so it has appropriate specific surface area and column capacity.
The separation mechanism of calcium stationary phase includes ion exchange and hydrophilic interaction. In addition, the mechanism of volume exclusion, ion exclusion and ligand exchange are also involved. A variety of interaction modes make me calcium column have the unique ability to separate a variety of water-soluble compounds. The crosslinking degree of resin is an important parameter in separation.
Target-Calcium resin is a relatively rigid gel medium. The lower the degree of crosslinking, the easier the pore structure swelling, and the more favorable the permeability of macromolecular compounds. Therefore, the resin with 5% cross-linking degree is more suitable for the separation of high molecular weight oligosaccharides than the resin with 10% cross-linking degree. The compounds with small molecular weight can be separated by 8% cross-linked me calcium resin.
Column parameters
We can provide a variety of target calcium columns, with inner diameter ranging from 75 μ m to 21.2 mm and length ranging from 5 cm to 30 cm. In addition, the chromatographic column can be customized according to the requirements of customers. The length and inner diameter of the column will affect the separation effect and the time required for analysis. Therefore, when selecting the specification of the column, it is necessary to ensure that the amount of resin in the selected column can achieve the required separation effect. If the retention of the compound on the resin is too strong, for example, if the retention time is too long on a 7.8x300 mm column, a short column such as a 150 mm column can be selected to shorten the analysis time.
